Day 7 (Monday, May 27^th)  Touring Kalmar.

This morning we toured the city of Kalmar with a local guide.

Next we toured the moated Kalmar Castle.  Fooled by its rather severe exterior, we were surprised and delighted with its beautiful Renaissance interior featuring the work of King Gustav Vasa and his sons.

We were on our own for the rest of the day.  Having lived near Boston for thirty years, we couldn't pass up lunch at O'Leary's Sports Bar with its New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox signs in the window!!  The food was good too.
